In the app, open Settings and choose Export everything. Download a ZIP containing your chats, character cards and exportable account content.
Character Card V2 is an open interchange format. Other tools that support that format can read the character cards; importing the full ZIP into another app is a separate step.

Encrypted backup

You can download an encrypted backup made in your browser. Choose a passphrase and store it safely: the backup needs that passphrase to open.
A downloaded backup is distinct from the operator's server backups. Your chats still run on a hosted service; this is not an end-to-end-encrypted chat claim.
